What You Will Learn During the Webinar
At this session, representatives from Bemidji State University will share details about the Field-Based Elementary Education Program and what makes it a strong option for aspiring educators.
This program is designed to support individuals who want to become elementary teachers while remaining employed in a school. Through a field-based model, you will gain hands-on classroom experience as you complete your coursework, allowing you to immediately apply what you are learning in real time.
Courses are delivered in a flexible format designed for working adults, and the program is structured to build on your existing experience in schools. Candidates work closely with mentor teachers and receive ongoing support throughout their preparation.
This pathway is especially well-suited for paraprofessionals and other school staff who are ready to advance toward becoming licensed elementary teachers, but it is also open to anyone interested in entering the teaching profession.
During the session, you will understand:
• How the Field-Based Elementary Education Program works
• Who the program is designed for
• What the program timeline and structure look like
• How field-based placements and mentorship support your learning
• What steps you can take now if you are interested in applying
Whether you are already supporting students in the classroom or exploring how to begin a career in education, this session is a great way to learn about a flexible, supported pathway to becoming a licensed elementary teacher.
We hope you will join us and take the next step toward your future in teaching.
