Program Info

As a graduate of Bethany Lutheran College’s education program, you’ll be well-prepared to start teaching in your chosen field. The program is designed to equip you to teach in a variety of settings, with the belief that a Christ-centered education will help you meet the needs of children in today’s multicultural society, whether in public or private schools. You’ll experience challenging coursework based on research and gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience while earning a degree and your Minnesota teaching license.

You’ll also receive training in the AVID program, where you’ll have the opportunity to tutor students across different grade levels. AVID is a national program that supports students—often the first in their families to attend college—by developing their study skills and preparing them for higher education.

Bethany offers smaller class sizes than most colleges, allowing for a close-knit community among faculty and students who are all passionate about education. This environment provides you with more personal attention and support. Local schools frequently share that they enjoy working with Bethany graduates and often note that something sets them apart from other teachers.
