In Bethel’s Department of Education, you’ll explore your unique calling as a teacher and gain the skills you need for a successful career. You’ll learn how to work well with others and think creatively to make a positive impact in the classroom. You’ll be prepared for a career as a teacher or in other education roles.

Grounded in Christian faith, Bethel’s Department of Education is dedicated to helping you achieve excellence in kindergarten-grade 12 classrooms and beyond. You’ll become an educator who serves with compassion, humility and understanding alongside your students and community.

Note: If you major in kindergarten-grade 6 elementary education, you can also add a middle school endorsement (grades 5-8) in communication arts and literature, math or social studies.

Academic Achievement Scholarships are for eligible incoming freshmen and transfer students. You could receive between $3,000 and $7,000 per year, depending on your GPA. You’ll be automatically considered when you apply for admission. The scholarship can be renewed each year as long as you maintain academic progress.

The Bethel Promise Grant provides essential financial support to qualifying students to help cover tuition. To qualify, you must be a Minnesota resident with a cumulative 2.9 high school GPA, be eligible for the Minnesota State Grant, and your family’s gross adjusted income (AGI) must be below $90,000 a year.

If you’re eligible, it will reduce your tuition to:

  • about $2,500 per year if you live on-campus
  • about $4,500 per year if you live off-campus

Education scholarships: If you’re an education student, you have access to several scholarships each year. You can apply for as many as you qualify for, but make sure to submit your applications by the spring deadline.
